Heather Henshall Wilson, SHRM-CP, has over 16 years of diverse career experience. What binds these experiences together is a strong emphasis of building great places to work through recruitment, organizational development, and strategic initiatives. Heather’s leadership philosophy has proven successful in building cultures of optimism, transparency and a growth mindset that pushes people to be their best in life and at work. Heather understands the power of engaged employees and the things that leaders and organizations must do to recruit, retain and maximize talent to reach its full potential.
Heather entered into her career of learning and development when the CEO of Ford Audio Video challenged her to build their training function for employees and clients. She conquered it and found her passion for making an idea come to life and encouraging personal and professional growth in herself and others. Heather’s proven success opened the door for a new opportunity to build a sales training department at American Fidelity Assurance Company. During her years at American Fidelity, she gained a well-rounded knowledge for the three primary functions of an organization – sales, corporate support and operations, all while serving as a member of the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For® Team. After eleven years of service, Heather entered a new role and new industry at Heartland Payment Systems where she led the New Client Services Team responsible for the onboarding and implementation of over 10,000 new payroll clients.
Heather’s passion to serve others shines through her involvement in her community. She currently serves as the HR Committee Chair and a member of the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Oklahoma City. Additionally, she shares her wisdom for motherhood and embracing the present moment as a contributing writer for the Oklahoma City Moms Blog and her own blog at pearlyposts.com.
Heather lives for family time with her husband, daughter, three sons and their dog, Penny. She is passionate about running and hopes to conquer her second half marathon in the very near future! A few of Heather's favorite things are Oklahoma sunrises and sunsets, football Saturdays, the color pink and coffee talk.
