Dr. DeWoody will officially assume her role on August 21, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a remarkable track record in executive leadership.

A recognizable face within the Strata community, Dr. DeWoody has been an integral part of the organization since 2020, serving as a contract executive coach and trainer. Her deep-rooted connection to Strata and her extensive leadership acumen in higher education make her the perfect fit for her new role.
With a notable background in the academic realm, Dr. DeWoody has held pivotal leadership positions across prestigious universities in states such as Arkansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas. Notably, she distinguished herself as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU), achieving this remarkable feat at a relatively young age and as the first woman to hold the position at OBU.
Before joining Strata, Dr. DeWoody lent her expertise to CarterBaldwin Executive Search, where she collaborated closely with academic institutions to identify and place top-tier executives in crucial roles. A trailblazer in every sense, she brings a unique perspective shaped by her journey as a first-generation college graduate.
Dr. DeWoody’s academic credentials are equally impressive, underscoring her commitment to excellence. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas Tech. Subsequently, she obtained a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern State University, culminating in a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.
